Nor'Wester Readers

We have been lucky enough to have a therapy dog visit our class once a week. Brandon, and his handler Cathy, were picked for my class through Nor'Wester Readers. There is a dog walk fundraiser at Tyler Park on Sunday, May 6th.

Centers Storage

I started using the plastic shoe box size bins with lids for centers storage this year. I found that I had a lot more space in each one than needed and the worksheets/instructions rolled. I found shallow bins with clips from Target (Room Essentials) that are working perfectly. I can stack more that with the shoe box size ones and they fit papers well. I have been buying myself 3-4 a week to build up my supply. No pictures were available on the website, but I found a blogger who used them as well, she included a picture on a post.
Anyone have suggestions for a great way to store and use your centers?

If I could be like any one teacher...

It would absolutely be this girl! I get so motivated by the strategies she uses (and her color coordination!) We have used Class/Yes, Blow It Into Your Hand and Mirror. WBT has great tricks to incorporate.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aaweXw03kQI

Fundations Letter Formation

It is helpful for everyone to use the same language when prompting kids through letter formation. Here is a link that shows each lesson and the language used with how to make the letter.
